Arturo Vinueza is also the CEO and founding shareholder for the InterMetrica Group in Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. Previously, Mr. Vinueza was the Founder and CEO of Consejero Holdings LLC, a digital media private equity group in Miami, FL. Mr. Vinueza’s background in the financial industry began in 1980 with Citibank N.A., where he held managerial positions in treasury, public sector finance, corresponding banking, investment banking and private banking. From there, Mr. Vinueza went on to become Chairman, CEO, and Founding partner of The Americas Trust Bank in Miami, FL, a Florida trust company devoted to emerging market fixed income asset management. He is credited for creating the first Latin American Mutual Fund organization with over $1.6 billion AUM’s. Mr. Vinueza holds a double major BA in economics and political science from the University of Miami in Florida.

Carlos Ulloa is responsible for operations in the United States. Mr. Ulloa has over 40 years of experience in commercial and investment banking. He was a Principal and Chairman of the DSC-I group that advises financial institutions, mutual funds and high net worth clients. He has been president of a bank in Panama, advisor to banks and trust Companies in the Bahamas and has served as director for banks in the United States. Mr. Ulloa was one of the organizers of Pacific National Bank (Miami, Florida), where he was a Principal and Vice Chairman. Involved with the acquisition and later sale of EMELEC, the largest power company in Ecuador, he served as the CFO of its parent company in the United States. A Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, he began his career at the Philadelphia National Bank and the Deltec Banking Corporation Limited, where he was in charge of loan and investment activities throughout Latin America.

Gerardo King is a well seasoned banker with over 16 years of experience across various divisions of world class financial institutions. From risk management, corporate finance, advisory, debt and equity capital markets, commodities and fixed income. He has over USD25BN of origination and structuring experience across bank debt and capital markets placements. Likewise, Gerardo has been involved in structured and capital markets transactions in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Brasil. He has played a dynamic role on the syndication tables for determining price and market for most of the transactions in which he has participated. He has wide access to executive management in top tier corporates and institutions and fluid relationships with regulators, various legal counsels and governmental entities. Gerardo has an outstanding reputation across the institutional investor community including pension funds, insurance companies, investment fund managers, family offices, broker-dealers and banks.

Mauricio is a seasoned international banker currently living in Lima, Peru. His experience with Credit Suisse, Espirito Santo & Banco de Colombia focused on serving the needs of institutional clients and corporations in the Andean countries. He moved from Miami to Lima in 2008 where he set up Access Consulting, his own Institutional Asset Management company focusing on origination and structuring of Mutual Funds, Notes and Bonds, Securitizations and Syndicated Loans with clients in 5 different countries, raising $300mm in both local currency and USD.
As the Local Partner for Peru, Mr. Sevilla is responsible for the origination and structuring of Portfolios in several Asset Classes including: auto loans, residential mortgages, commercial real estate, trade finance and middle market corporate lending. His team also provide the local supervision of these Structured Products. Overseeing risk management solutions such as loan reserves and cross-border currency hedging.

Diego has more than 12 years of experience, especially in the Financial Services Industry. His main responsibilities have been in financial consulting, product development, credit management and business management. He has participated in an entrepreneurship project and is co-founder of an investment fund. His academic background is in Marketing, Finance and Business Administration (USFQ MBA President 2015). His experience enables him to lead a factoring company in Ecuador. Previously, he worked in Credimetrica as a Credit Assistant Manager and as a Product Development Assistant Manager. Before that, he earned experience in Diners Club Ecuador as a Product Manager and in Citibank Ecuador as a Relationship Manager.

Mr. Morton has over 2 decades’ experience in the global investment banking, private equity and natural resource sectors. He has been involved in financing and advisory assignments in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions worth in aggregate over $40 billion and has extensive product experience in M&A, ECM, DCM, project finance, structured finance, asset-backed lending, principal investments and commodities trading. Mr. Morton was a founding member of Macquarie’s Mexican operation and was board member of Macquarie Mexico during the creation and operation of $400 million private equity fund.
Mr. Morton is an Economics graduate of the University of Auckland and is fluent in English and Spanish / proficient in Portuguese.

Alfredo Ramos is responsible for operations in Colombia as well as supporting business development throughout the region. Mr. Ramos has over 30 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking and Private Banking. Mr. Ramos is the Founding Partner and Managing Director of New Economy Finance NEF, an investment Banking firm established in Colombia. Between 2000 and 2006 Mr. Ramos was the representative for Refco and Hencorp in Colombia. Previously Mr. Ramos was part of Standard Bank London Limited – Representative office in Colombia, and before that was part of the Representative Office of Jersey Private Bank and Trust. Mr. Ramos worked for several years with the Dow Chemical Group as Treasurer and other positions in the financial area both in Colombia, USA and Ecuador. Mr. Ramos holds a B.S. on Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Colombia graduated with honors degree as the best student of his promotion.

Arturo Vinueza Eastman has five years of experience in the Wealth Management Sector working as a financial analyst and relationship officer for a boutique Canadian family office. There, he started working in the trust services division where he examined portfolios to determine asset allocation methods and eventually transitioned into investment banking where he performed quantitative analysis and assisted in raising capital for several real estate transactions. Prior to joining Exan, Vinueza earned a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance from Florida International University where he graduated with honors. Arturo is ARGUS Enterprise certified and competed in the Argus University Challenge.
Manuel E. Borrajo

Prior to joining Humboldt, Manuel was a Managing Director Holdun USA and at CGI merchant group, where he specialized in infrastructure finance and structured securities. Manuel’s expertise in analyzing structures, risks, and mitigating factors related to infrastructure in LATAM, as well as his understanding of structured securities, has given him a unique understanding of the issues related to these sectors. As a former Associate Director with Standard & Poor’s, Manuel was the lead analyst for Enersis, the largest privately held power company in LATAM at the time, and Dominion Resources, one of the largest utilities in the U.S. At Standard & Poor’s, Manuel focused on LATAM infrastructure projects as wide ranging as power plants, toll roads, and refineries. Most recently, Manuel served as Portfolio Manager with EFFCU, where he built a $ 300million portfolio comprised of structured and corporate securities. At EFFCU Manuel Developed Policy and Procedures for the analysis, acquisition and surveillance of said securities. Manuel holds an MBA from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the City College of C.U.N.Y.

Nicolas is currently responsible for Institutional sales of Humboldt products and services to Institutional Clients in Panama. Mr. Santos worked as Treasurer in CrediMetrica Ecuador and as Relationship Officer in Holdun Partners Quito. His experience in the Ecuadorian credit capital markets and sales administration with financial institutions enables him to understand the investment needs for this segment. Previously, he worked for Banco del Pichincha in Ecuador and Panama in their Private Banking and Credit Card operations. His experience in the corporate world includes treasury functions with Quito Motors, the Ford Motor dealer in Ecuador, and as Andean region sales manager for Florsel and Gak Overseas. Mr. Santos graduated with honors with a BA in Business Administration from Universidad San Francisco de Quito and several courses including The PURDUE INSTITUTE FOR LEADERSHIP, in Madrid Spain.
